Web Comic Review for 05/30/2003
Welcome back my readers and hello to all you new comers. The web comic to see (or not) this week is Scary Go Round by John Allison. In honor of this very unique and very British comic, I am going to try something a little different in my style. Please don't hate me because I like doing stupid things; there are much better reasons to hate me if you just take the time to get to know me :-D. Thank you.
Today the light of comic review doth shine on the oddity that beeth Scary Go Round. In this strange and unique world that Allison doth open unto us, we are presented with a bizarre cast of players set in the fictional town of Tackleford. The inhabitants of this town art never bored as life has seen fit to present them with an unending supply of murder and mystery. The sets put forth by the artist in this play of a comic art both inventive and quite unique. The roles his characters doth play beeth well written and well thought out. Verily, this story is a delightful comedy or errors.
Ok, enough of that, Scary Go Round really is unique. I can't think of another comic out there with its very weird humor. To tell you the truth, I have never had a laughing fit over a Scary Go Round update, but they usually get a chuckle (if I can understand that English sense of humor). While the jokes are nothing special, if you like insanity with a plot, this is the comic for you. Also, SGR updates just about every weekday with enough infrequency to make me wonder about its exact schedule.
Here comes the bad news. I stumbled upon the comic about three weeks ago, and I have had the misfortune of being exposed to guest comics for the last week. Don't get me wrong, the guest comics are great (some of the artists are even in my regulars list). But for a Web Comic artist to be MIA for two weeks after one year out gives me my doubts. Besides, guest comics are fillers, and fillers make Shalmdi angry. You wouldn't like Shalmdi when he is angry! Please hold while I turn into the Hulk (go see the movie)...ok, I'm back. Well other than that, Scary Go Round is a must-check-out comic that will at least keep you entertained if not enthralled (Yes! Big word!). Well, enjoy this weird little slice of England. See ya!
Site update are Monday though Friday?
Scary Go Round is rated TEEN for Violence and Language.
Out of 5 Energy Stars, Shalmdi gives Scary Go Round by John Allison
