Video Game Reviews *ATTENTION: READ THIS FIRST!!!* This was a post by the demi-god Wock while Vodius was away on other business. Thanks Wock! Counter Strike (PC) Graphics: 5/5 For a game made 4 years ago, the gfx in this game are incredible. It is a mod based of the popular game Half Life. I run it off a 1 gig AMD, 512 ram, and a 64 GeForce 4 MB card. I get 60 fps w/o any screen lag. Most computers today can run it with out a problem. You have a choice of CT and T. Models look good, with few gfx problems. If you don't like default models you are free to go download different ones. Maps have great lighting and built to suit the mood of the level. In game you only get one view, and considering its a First Person Shooter, you can only use first person mode. Their is a different choice of guns for each side, models of guns in the game are designed after weapons in real life ( sadly they have named them differently, although, you know what an Uzi, AK47, and a M4 look like). My favorite thing to do is to hide in a dark place with a semi-auto gun and pick people off. Wouldn't add or take away gfx from this game.. Sound/Music/Voice-Overs: 5/5 Sound effects are incredible. From throwing a nade, to shooting a hostage in the face, sounds just are exciting. They match what you are doing perfectly. They have sound packs out that enhance the playing of the game. Although no music in the background while playing, u can simply play an mp3 during game with out affecting anything ( but maybe your game play :D ). I prefer to pop in some hard rock and go hunt down some terrorist. They have pre-binded voice commands for you to talk to your teammates, and if that isn't good enough, they have an in-game voice program, where u can talk to your teammates verbally if you have a mic. Storyline: 5/5 Sadly, their isn't a real story line to the game but to kill each other. Some time later this year, they are releasing an off-line version of this game called Condition Zero. They have 4 types of missions on the game. Hostage rescue- CT try to retrieve lost hostages and bring them back to a safe point. Terrorist are their to defend them, but like I do, I eliminate them just for fun. If CT recover 2/4 Hostages they get the win. Bomb - As ct guard 2 bomb spots on a map, terrorist try to make it these spots and plant. Blowing up 1 of 2 of the sites gives the terrorist the win. Protect - CT try to guard a VIP to a certain location on the map. T's start on the spot where the CT's are trying to get to. Killing the VIP ends the missions and gives the terrorist the win. Death Match- Kill each other as quick and painful as possible. It is almost a last man standing type of thing. Gameplay: 5/5 I'm not sure how to start but here we go. Nothing I would change about this game. It has a special feature most FPS don't. You get only one life and the hat winning has a point and actually helps. The fact that you have only one life per round makes it much more interesting. You are much more careful and hope your teammates have your back. If you are to die during a round, you go to a spectator mode and watch as your teammates try to win it for you. Winning in this game is very important. The winning team gets more money than the losing. And considering you only start out with a pistol, money is very important. It isn't fun when the other team has M4's and you have your little glock. And because they have the better guns then they will pwn ( pwn=professionally owned ) you for longer, preventing you from getting the money needed to retaliate. Taking the game to the next level they have leagues that you can join, to test your ability and the ability of your teammates. You can't win single handily. And if so you are a crappy teammate, and you deserve to be terminated by fellow teammates. You can't become a Counter Strike god over night either. This game takes dedication and years of praticing. It isn't a game for those of you who hope to become a great in just a few weeks. I have played the game for over 2 years now and I still have a long way to go. This game is my favorite and will remain my favorite for a long time. You can buy it at Wal-Mart for cheap and I recommend it. Go Go Go. Overall: 5/5

My only complaint is the people that you play against aren't always as high quality as the game itself. Please, a plea from the gods; stop team killing. Thanks.
